Viability of spheroid on NCP is better than that on the low attachment-type plate

Spheroids on NCP show high viability due to attaching on the culture surface. Following pictures show dead cells inside spheroids stained with EthD-1 (Invitrogen).


Cell proliferation of NCP spheroid

The growth of cells in spheroids cultured on low attachment-type plate is usually slow compared to monolayer cultured cells. [Ref. Lpn.l.Cancer Res.89,p110-115(1998)]. However, spheroids cultured on NCP show the growth to a similar extent as monolayer.
